My remix for Juan Maclean on DFA records is out now on a couple of online stores including beatport. Other remixes on there are by Marc Romboy, Surkin, and The Emperor Machine.

Tiefshwarz keeps releasing fire on their own imprint Souvenir (it's all consistently good). This time we get a 2 part EP titled Simple, Maybe. My personal favorite out of the bunch is Yeah. I look forward to seeing Tiefshwarz play during conference and ofcourse playing this one myself.

Out on Souvenir.

Sesame Street

Sesame Street is partly to blame for why we're all fucked up. The best part of this skit is how the dogs continuously try to eat some of the ingredients and in one part a hand even slaps the dogs face away.

Yet another remix e.p. for Loco Dice's, 7 Dunham Place. The first remix e.p. had great contributions from Luciano and Cassy. This second one comes with even more talent, Marcell Dettmann, Onur Ozer, Marco Carola, and Mike Huckaby. I still play Luciano's remix of Pimp Jackson Is Talkin' Now!!! But I definitely will be supporting Marco Carola's mix of M Train To Brooklyn.

Out on Desolat.

Trilogy

A spot-on trilogy meter by Dan Meth.

Music:
The second remix e.p. for Crash is out now. Milton Jackson's choices for these remixes are very wise as both Jimpster and H.O.S.H. have delivered great tunes (they usually do). I have a hard time choosing between the two since they both do good in their own right but I have noticed Jimpster's mix fits better in my sets.

Out on Freerange.

Catalog #2 on Slam's own imprint, Paragraph, is out now. The A-Side is Hot Knives and the B is called What's On Your Mind. I've been playing Hot Knives in some of my sets, especially the longer ones where I can build a few times. The song consists of rissets that lead to monumental build ups, but the fun part for me is after a few bars on the drop the song gets quiet again.

Out on Paragraph.

My Teenager Gang

First things first, I have finished my remix for The Juan Maclean, which is due out on DFA records soon. I'm very excited to be part of a DFA release as they're a very highly respected label in my book. They are other great remixes on the package as well. You can listen to a one minute clip of it on my myspace (sorry that's all I can do for now) but I've been playing it in all my sets as of late.

Second, Nic Fanciulli featured Hell Cab on his Essential Hot Mix on Pete Tong's Radio 1 show. If you look at the tracklisting you will see it under Saved Records. I guess now will be a good time to announce that a special full 'feisty' vocal version will be coming out right before summer (to coincide with Ibiza season). The release will have great remixes from various very talented artists. Again, I've been incorporating this one into my sets too.

Here is Nic's tracklisting from the show.

Essential Hot Mix from Nic Fanciulli
Nic Fanciulli - 'Green Tea' (Sample Edit) (Saved)
Schlomi Aber - 'Namgo' (Drums Only) (Be As One)
Dan Curtain - 'Marsupial' (Mobilee)
Phil Bader, Hirtenfellner - 'I Try' (Vox Only) (Still For Talent)
Mark Broom - 'Feathered' (Mixxx 1) (Saved)
Hard Drive - 'Deep Inside' (Fanciulli's Yawn Version) (SR)
Lazaro Casanova - 'Feisty Hell' (Saved)
Joris Voorn - 'Sweep The Floor'
Slam - 'Positive Education' (Paul Ritch Mix) (Soma)
Paul Woolford - 'Pandemonium'

Third, I am working on a remix for Oscar G's new single off his upcoming album. This is happening this week so expect to hear that in my upcoming sets. Oscar has been a big help and supporter of what I am doing and I am very grateful for that. petFood's first release, Los Tambores, will be featured on his next Club Space cd/dvd which is out in april. Speaking of Space I have been invited onboard a great wmc party...

petFood release #2 is just awaiting a mix down. You may have noticed on my monthly top 10 a track I did with Jay-You called Papayua. The delay has been due to a couple of vital plugin licenses for Pro Tools that expired January 1st. Lucikly DigiDesign's artist department is looking into the matter and I should have them renewed soon enough.

I am working on a couple of other tracks but saving them for wmc promos as of now.

So I guess it's safe to say I haven't been online much (or updating the blog) because I've been real busy working on other things. But I will do my best to balance out.

Music:

If you're a frequent reader of this blog then Minilogue is something you're very familiar with by now. The new release is titled, My Teenager Gang. I know...the title makes me want to join a teenage gang too. Anyway, I'm loving the hand drums all over the track (maybe because I'm cuban?). The vocal chant around the 5 minute mark is very afrocuban too. As usual, great work from the Minilogue guys.
