Jail-Bound

I'm currently at the airport in Phoenix as my flight back to Miami has been delayed two hours. A bit confused as to why the Quiznos here only sells subs in regular size (despite the fact that they can just cut a bigger piece of bread) or as to why the burger king has no chicken fries, I decided to do some updating.

This past week I played Los Angeles, San Diego, and Tijuana.

Trip highlights included:

Johnny and I meeting a groupie duo known as the "electro sluts." As soon as we walked in these two were all over us. Apparently, they get to any Dj that ever makes it into town. So if you're in San Diego look for those two ridiculous girls. Oh yea, we're almost sure one of them stole Johnny's jacket and some other stuff as well.

Juan Maclean and Claude Von Stroke played in Tijuana the night before I did. It was a pretty good show and the crowd in Tijuana is a whole lot better than anything I've seen both LA and SD offer.

The following night in TJ, the promoter was showing me around the red light district. I got a kick out of how widely accepted prostitution is there. As we're driving away from our 5 minute tour, we were pulled over by the infamous corrupt cops of Mexico. They wouldn't tell us why we got pulled over, which probably means they had no reason to pull us over really. They thought the promoter was some pimp I paid money to so he would take me to get some whores. After they searched the car and didn't find anything they decided to confiscate the car and have us in the back of a squad car. When we get to the police station, we were basically hinted to bribe them to let us go. $150 Dollars....And that my friends is how cops in Mexico make their living.

I still got a kick out of it.

Fresh off the press. Markus Lange and Daniel Dexter deliver a dark, kick-thumping, synth-driven tune that will guarantee some good late night fun. On the flip there is a remix by Play Paul which basically offers a bassline and longer breakdowns, although, not enough to drive me away from the original.

After catching Dj sets by both Juan Maclean and Claude VonStroke in Tijuana, I decided to post an updated version of one of the biggest '06 tracks. The Whistler comes back with remixes from Diplo, Dj Assault, and Jesse Rose. I am still baffled about why someone would let Diplo near this track, but that is a whole different point.
