CMJ Madness
CMJ has officially begun. This will be my first attendance. I checked out The Presets last night. Needless to say they were on point. The Knife are playing tonight but I'm deciding to stay in to rest up my liver from last night. I know my liver is going to have some serious abuse Thurs-Sun.

Meet Yuksek. Meet Yuksek's band, Klanguage. Meet Tacteel, who remixed Priceless Things off the latest Klanguage 12". All of the above are part of the close knit music geniuses who plague France. I guess originally you can draw comparisons to something along the lines of CSS. The main difference is the production work for Klanguage is better on so many levels. Tacteel's remix of Priceless Things is very hard to describe with words (maybe because I'm sleep deprived right now). All I can do is just say that it is fucking good.
Out on Rise Recordings
I'm pretty sure most music geeks would pee their pants a little upon reading a sleeve with the words, Booka Shade meets Hot Chip Mixes. The much anticipated Darko 12" just dropped, with two Booka remixes and two Chip remixes. Hot Chip's take has full instrumentation plus some vocals tossed in. Both Hot Chip remixes are similar except one of them is a bit more accessible and has more vocals (not by much).

Another fresh new release, this one coming from John Dahlback. Late Night Worries 12" comes with an original dub by Dahlback, a Guy Gerber remix, as well as a King Unique remix. John Dahlback pulls out all the stops on this one so it's peak time electro house right off the bat. King Unique gives the track an even heavier feel. While Guy Gerber gives us the option of just calming the fuck down.

I am pissed I'm missing The Presets when they tour through Portland with the Rapture, but Hot Chip is paying same night so I'm not missiong out. . .

i actually thought the both of you guys had a better set than mstrkrft at the puma store. the only thing that saved them was giving out vinyl at the end. they weren't bad at all, but i preferred the casanova set more. then again, van she kicked ass earlier on too.
